With the blessing of Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche, the Moscow Dzogchen Sangha was founded in 1997 by Sergey Doudko. The current Chairman of our Dharma Center is Sergey Gladkih.
In Asia there is a Dzogchen Dharma Center in Taipei, Taiwan. We have over 20 sangha members. Our Dharma Center was founded on November 15, 2010 under the guidance of H.E. Gedyak Rinpoche and with the help of many Sangha members.
Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche has declared 2012 to be the year of the Dakini. As many of us know, Dakinis are the root of all virtuous activity. Dakinis also represent the inner aspect of sangha. Keeping this in mind, the Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation is proud to announce upcoming 2012 events and activities taking place at the Dzogchen Retreat Center.
The Seeds of Awakening
The Dzogchen Shri Singha Foundation proudly announces the 2012 events and activities schedule. Keeping with the “Year of the Dakini” theme, Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche and the DRC retreat committee have put Dakinis in key leadership roles and set dates for the 2012 seasonal retreats, the 2012 internship, and Buddha Path Retreat.
When personal Buddha Path practice grows, the natural result is compassion: How to help others understand the power of Positive Thinking.
In November and December of this year, Taiwan Dzogchen Sangha members Tina Tung and Hiao Chi took these teachings of the Buddha to Changhua prison in Taiwan.
Within the last ten years there has been a great expansion of interest in the meeting between Buddhism and Science. From the Dalai Lama’s Mind and Life conferences, to the stream of books about the overlapping perspectives of quantum physics and Buddhist thought, to the increasing participation of accomplished Buddhist practitioners in scientific experiments. One sees a trend building.
Khenpo has declared 2011 “The Year of The Four Noble Truths”, and in honor of this auspicious event he has offered the world an amazing condensed version of this fundamental Buddhist teaching. Please share this holy teaching!
Important message from His Eminence Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche:
“This Iron Hare year represents wisdom so we decide this year 2011 is the year of the Four Noble Truths of the Enlightened. Please teach and emphasize the Four Noble truths to your students, Sangha members, family, friends, and community. You can put this in the newspaper or make billboards. This way we create the causes and conditions of peace and happiness for all beings.”
The Kalachakra was first given by Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha, in ancient India. A noble lineage has carried those sacred teachings directly from the Buddha to the present time. This past July, in this era of great world turmoil, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has chosen our nation’s Capitol, the epicenter of world politics and world changing events to again offer the historic Kalachakra empowerment for World Peace.
